SUPER bright! | ||
Individually, these are brighter than a 4 watt incandescent "night light" bulb. Two "D" size batteries will operate one 24/7 for over 90 days! I put four on a proto-board and power them with a 12 volt regulated (used) 3 amp AC supply for my under kitchen cabinet lighting, after sanding the ends with 600-1000 grit sandpaper to diffuse them. You could "hot-rod" them with a 13.5 volt supply, but I'm MORE than happy with the light output at 12 Volt DC and no resistors or other parts needed. I placed one every 3-4 feet, and they make a huge difference. I've had some going 24/7 for a year now, and none have "died". The price makes these a no-brainer. HINT: If you plan to use these for auto/RV lighting, remember your battery can deliver 14.1 volts fully charged, so a resistor or a couple of bargain diodes are needed. | ||
